Yearbook Meeting - Tuesday, January 18

There will be a yearbook meeting on Tuesday, January 18 (and yearbook meetings will be held EVERY Tuesday through the month of March) until 6:00 p.m.  Please have ALL of your pictures uploaded or with you before coming to the meeting.  We have a lot to catch up on before our deadline...come prepared!

January 4 Meeting

There will be a yearbook staff meeting after school on Tuesday, January 4, until 6:00 p.m.  Pictures MUST be uploaded by this time.

Week of December 6

No group meeting this week - but staff members need to attend at least one morning session from 8:15-8 45 on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday of this week.  Interview question assignments MUST be completed and submitted via email to Ms. Logue by Friday.  Club assignments have been made - submit a report to Ms. Logue by THursday with the following information:  club name, faculty sponsors, meeting dates, activities, roster.  It is your responsibility to check in with your assigned sponsor once a week to keep up with club information.

Meeting - November 1

This is a Monday meeting - we will not meet on Tuesday due to the student holiday/teacher workday!  Have your assignments completed for the Monday meeting!

Assignments and questions are attached - be responsible in getting your work completed!!! Don't forget to sign in with Ms. Logue on Monday, November 1 - remember that this is a meeting date change due to the teacher work-day on November 2.

Staff Meeting - October 26

Meeting:  4:30-6:00

Remember that you are to sign in with Ms. Logue each Monday (the sign-in sheet is above the yearbook storage cabinet). 

Assignments Due:

1. 5 or more pictures (required each week)
2. Interview Questions and Answers (these should have been emailed to Ms. Logue at suzanne.logue@cobbk12.org)

 

Staff Meeting - October 19

We will have a meeting during conference times on Tuesday, October 19, from 2:15-4:00.  Bring your camera, uploading device, and your written assignments to this meeting.

Staff Meeting - September 28

We will meet from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. - please have your Photo Scavenger Hunt items ready!

Continue to experiment with your assigned 2-page spread.  Those of you already working should check to see if a "note" was left on your page with comments.  It looks like a real yellow sticky-note.  You are able to respond back on the note.

September 7 Meeting!

Staffers - there is a possibility that I may not be at school on Tuesday (you should have received a separate email from me by now with this information).  Please check with the front office before going to lunch on Tuesday to see if I am at school by then.  If I am not at school go ahead and make arrangements for transportation home immediately after school.

DO turn in these assignments even if I am not there: 1) Photo Scavenger Hunt photos - remember that these are to be labelled by topic and team 2) one- to two-page spread you collected from a magazine 3) Update your assigned 2-page spread on the yearbook website.  Put all of your assignments in the red plastic bin left on the piano bench in my room.

Assignments for September 7

1. Continue with the Photo Scavenger Hunt.  A flash drive of pictures from each team is due to Ms. Logue on Sept. 7.  Each picture should be titled the same as listed on the rubric (ex. Team 3 "Teacher Messy Desk").

2. Bring either your camera or a flash drive with 10 photos you have taken.  We will learn how to upload these into to the Image Library, and how to tag them.

3. Bring a one- or two-page design you like from a magazine.  Look for layouts that are creative, and that open the possibilites for design ideas.

4. Ask interview questions among your classmates.  Keep record of their name and answer in your yearbook notebook/journals.  Refer to the "Interview Questions" handout, or create your own!

5. Be thinking of coverage ideas for our HUGE brainstorming session on Sept 7!

6. Continue to experiment with your page spread on the on-line design center.  See Ms. Logue if you are lost!
