November 10-Students completed the Euro Task today, turned in Gans & Go decimal problem solving, and explored converting percents to decimals and fractions. HW: Read lesson 6-1 and complete problems 1-39 and 42.
November 9-Students began the Euro Task with a group in class and will finish tomorrow. Please finish Friday's decimal practice tonight if you did not turn it in today.
November 6-We practiced basic operations with decimals and problem solving with decimals Download Decimal Operations Skills Practice.
November 5-We learned what a unit rate is today. Please finish numbers 15-25 on p. 276. Make sure you write the given information equal to the unit rate like we did on our notes today and as example 2 and 3 do in the lesson.
November 4-Students organized their binders in class and set up a grade sheet that they will monitor for this nine weeks. Please read lesson 5-1 Ratios and complete p. 272 #1-22.
November 2-Students worked in teams to solve the locker problem Download Locker Problem. You do NOT have to make this up, but you may want to read over it and think of a problem solving strategy. For all: We are beginning a new unit on ratios, rates and percent Wednesday. If you want an appetizer for what we will be learning, check out lessons 5-1, 5-2, 6-1, 6-2, 6-3, and 6-4. You do not have to do any problems, but explore the vocabulary and examples so you are ready for success!
