Mouse (one trait)Strawberry DNA/Scenarios

Gizmo Mouse breeding (one trait) will be due on Monday Jan 30th! Most of you probably have completed the gizmo.... if you did not complete on Thursday Jan. 27 computer lab please do so over the weekend.

Strawberry DNA  lab will be collected on Tuesday Jan 31! This includes both the-pre lab questions you completed before the lab  and the back of the lab conclusion and analysis page!

The scenarios have been made optional!! You may want to complete and turn in to replace one of the classwork or quiz grades from the genetic unit! If you choose to do so, it is due Feb.  6th   Monday and will not be accepted any later. Remember to highlight the one system that your scenario states and the essay should be least one typed page and no more than two typed pages. Make sure to include your cites  showing that you have strong research!

Test /Quest

Monday  Jan. 23rd 8am help session!

Monday Jan. 23rd you will have the test for the human body. 

Know your legal size sheet -mostly the functions 1st row and the 3rd row interactions among the systems. We also practice the essay in class on Thursday/Friday! To study you should continue to strengthen the connections between each of the systems.

Also this weekend you will need to complete the study guide questions and be prepared on Tuesday Jan. 24th to complete the Quest. The Quest will be multiple choice questions that cover the details from each of the systems.

 

Review for Quest Monday Jan 23 and Test Tuesday Jan 24

Today we began reviewing for the quest by using the study guide questions.

AC should complete at least 1-18 for homework and purple 21-30 for homework.

Every class began the essay question practice by using the Respiratory as the system you became and the explaining why you can not get your job done as the Respiratory system unless the other systems do their job!

Finish your explaining.... using the small sheet given in class..... from where your class left off....

Today you received a homework grade on the handouts completed last night and you will check them for accuracy on Thursday for a classwork grade.

Purple class will also complete #1-10 on the study guide for homework.

Endocrine/Excretory

Today we  continued with the Endocrine system and began the Excretory system.

In class, we worked on pages 3,5,6,14,15, and 17 in our packet. While watching the video on kidneys, we completed page 18(except purple).

All AC classes should complete any items above not completed in class and also fill out the legal size sheet for endocrine/excretory. We are not completing the short sheet for these systems due to the extra material covered in videos and packet.

We will check these handouts tomorrow for a classwork grade.  

***remember your packet has a section on each system if you have problems with the handouts and you have a section on each system in your textbook.
