Cell Analogy Project

Reminder that you need to have signed the form on the back of your rubric by your parents. Past Due at this point! Entire project due Monday Nov. 16th.

You should be reviewing the diagrams -bacterial cell ,plant cell ,animal cell -also reviewing the functions of the cell and know the material from the microscope packet on the cell.

Rough Draft Analogies

Advance Content Classes: Rough draft 12 analogies are due on Thursday 11/5/09 at the end of class. Have several ways to back up your information to make sure you have it with you on Thursday.  Each of the 12 analogies should have the 1-2-3 parts included. We hightlighted the example of the analogy on your direction sheet. Please make sure you use this format even for your rough draft!

Orange Class: Rough draft due on Friday 11/6/09 at the end of class. See all the same details for writing your rough draft in the paragraph above. Direction sheet and rubric files are also on typepad.

Cell Analogy Project

Due date: November 16th Monday for all projects! The rough draft will be due Thursday Nov. 5th and includes the 12 analogies written in the 1-2-3 step format that was discussed in class on Monday (see direction page for sample of analogy).

Wed. Nov. 3rd and Nov.4th students will have the chance to type analogies in class. Please bring a flashdrive so that you can work on these Wed night. Analogies Rough Draft due at the end of class on Nov. 5th. Thursday. You will have the analogies back on Monday to continue to strengthen them before turning in your project. Please manage your time and remember that the model or poster will only be 30% of the grade. 70% of the project is your analogies!

Today in class we completed the Green Machine II lab and questions about the fresh water and salt water application on the back of lab. Make sure you have turned in the lab.

Microscope Packet

Due Wed. 10/28/09: Using your microscope packet complete the following-

 "Discovering Cells" section 1-2 and "Looking Inside Cells" section 1-3. Read the section summary on the front of each sheet and complete the questions on the back. These will need to be completed at the beginning of class in order to work with the microscopes for the Elodea Lab.

Today in class we checked  the Chapter 3 section 2 notes, colored/labeled plant and animal cell, and turned in the Onion cell lab.
