Study Guide Due 5/17/13 /Jeopardy Review/Quiz 5/20/13

Today you should have checked for accuracy and made improvements for the 13 plant questions from Chapter 12 and Protist Lab Packet (Chapter 11)-then we made skrinky dinks as a review for the squid/flower/frog diagrams.

Wed 5/15/13 and Thursday 5/16/13  night you will need to complete your study guide and use your textbook for any additional note taking or studying for the quiz on Monday 5/20/13. Your books will be collected on Friday 5/17/13 and you will be using notes and labs and study guides to review for the large quiz on Monday 5/20/13.

squid dissection review

You should complete the squid packet with questions and drawings labeled for the squid dissection sheet tomorrow! The ppt below might help you with reviewing parts that you will need to know tomorrow for the field study.

You  Tube viewed today- titled "Market Squid Dissection". You may want to view again to help with terms learned from the board or questions in your packet.  Wear short sleeves-it will be in the low 80"s tomorrow for outside dissections.

Items turned in and Journal #3

Today the Bean Plant Lab was due 5/10/13 for OL and AC has until 5/13/13 to turn in.

Journal #3 was given in class today and most completed-You will have until Monday 5/13/13 to turn in for full credit. You may use the Square Watermelon idea of drawing and explaining as discussed in class or use the traditional method of source/summary/reflection for the Journal #3 grade.

Directed Reading Ch 16 sec 2 was completed and turned in along with the  frog dissection hands on lab Thursday 5/9/13. These will be combined for your frog lab grade.

Remember that you may not participate in activities if you have outstanding work. Please make sure you do not miss the Squid Lab Dissection on Tuesday May 14th. You guys were amazing with frog dissections!

Frog Dissection

Preparing for Frog Dissection students should have read and completed Dir Rdg Chapter 16 sec 2. Learn the diagram for the frog dissection (white sheet) and view the frog dissections below:

We are continuing our study of plants Chapter 12, Protist Chapter 11, Amphibians Chapter 16 section 2.

Continue to work on the Bean Plant Lab write up ...........see below for due date!

Tomorrow-Wed 5/8/13 we will be reviewing the material (reading and answering questions)  in Chapter 16 section 2 to prepare for the frog dissection on thursday May 9th. 

Plant write up is due on Friday 5/10/13.

Protist Packet will be due Friday May 3rd at the beginning of class.
