Wednesday, Nov. 11:  Africa pre-test;  file/organize old notebooks;  begin new TOC;  begin HUGE Africa map!  #1-3 should be completed tonight

Thursday, Nov. 12:  continue work on Africa map;   #1-8 should be completed tonight

Friday, Nov. 13:  complete Africa map and turn in (HW and due Monday if not completed in class today!); Stock Market Game time (your group MUST have made a transaction in the past week!)

1. Economics Quiz (GREAT grades on this!  Good work!)

2. Middle East pt. 2 Study Guide (for next Tuesday's test)

Short Answer Questions to Study (see my study notes for answers!):

1. Explain US involvement in the Persian Gulf War, War on Terror, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

2. List Israel's 3 disputed territories and who wants them.

3. Compare/Contrast the economies of Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

4. Identify the government types and citizen participation in Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia

5. Explain historical reasons for the creation of Israel and the Arab reaction to it.  Be specific!

Thursday, Nov. 5

1.  Go over 10 Economics terms for tomorrow's quiz

2.  Finish and go over Economics Study Statements (graded and online in my gradebook today!)

3. Stock Market Game time with groups

Students and parents--please do not ask me to change a grade, accept late work, or "take another look" at assignments given while Ms. Fargason was substituting for me.  She is a gifted and experienced certified teacher who has my full trust and support!   I am not changing any grades or accepting any work from the time that I was out on maternity leave.  Ms. Fargason gave many reminders about missing work and all grades that she took will absolutely remain!!!

2,  Power Point Presentation on Political Cartoons - Download POLITICAL_CARTOONS  Make a rough draft of your political cartoon in class today.  HOMEWORK TONIGHT:  On a clean white sheet of paper, using blue or black ink or blue or black color pencil, make your final drawing of your political cartoon.  It is due at the beginning of class tomorrow.

Hi from Mrs. Nix!

Hi Students!  I will be back at school with you next week (November 2 is my first day back)!  I am forever grateful to Ms. Fargason for taking care of all of you while I have been at home getting used to being a mommy to my new little guy!  I can't wait to visit with Ms. Fargason and Mr. Corbett tomorrow to get all of the updates on your progress!
