Monday 2/13 - Individual Writing Conferences for final revisions. Anchor work: 1 - Reading Lesson #2/scantron answers; 2 - Homophone practice - too, two, to/your, you're/there, their, they're/accept, except/its, it's 3- Grammar for Writing - Adjectives - pages 125-133: take notes on a notecard & complete all exercises to turn in. 4 - Choose an article in Scholastic Magazine, read it, and write a one paragraph summary (no more than 5 to 7 sentences).

Tuesday 2/14 - Writing conferences continue. See above for other assignments.

Wednesday 2/15 - Writing conferences - final day. Media Center. Check out a book and see above assignments listed on Monday. HW: Post writing conference revisions are due tomorrow at the beginning of class.

Thursday 2/16 - Turn in final revisions to your essay. Review for test. Brainpop (www.brainpop.com) practice/whiteboard response: "Their, They're and There;" "Main Idea," "Paraphrasing," "Writing in Sequence." HW: Study for the test. See Study Guide posted above. Thursday 2/16 - Final computer lab day for research/project. HW - The project now becomes the responsibility of the student outside of school. See due dates above. This is a major test grade. The expectation for this project is that the student will present as the expert on their chosen topic. Average work will earn an average grade. You've had 9 days of in-school support. Put the finishing touches on your projects. If you need school resources/computers, come in before school to use the Media Center.
