May 21

Remember that all materials in your locker need to go home today.  Nothing comes to school on Friday EXCEPT for you!!

I cannot let the year pass without giving a huge hug to your parents for their love and support for you.  They have let you go this year, and you have sprouted steady wings of maturity.  You are so fortunate.

Have a grand summer and be safe.  Take notice during your travels of all the history and beauty that surround us.  Make a list of all the places you intend to visit in your lifetime.  Decide how you fit into making the world a better place.  One person can make a difference!!

All the best!

Tuesday, May 5

Please return your textbook.  I hope that you are enjoying your time between my class and Mrs. Williams' class.

Monday, May 4

Blue class:  We were so fortunate to have Meg's aunt in our classroom on Friday.  We enjoyed our short time with her sharing travel experiences in South America.  Cape Horn, wow!  I wonder if she spotted any of those sea monsters that Magellan's crew imagined!!

For the next two weeks we will have our own BIG adventure.  Mrs. Williams and I will be exchanging students for a week of extended studies.  In my classes, we will learn about refugee immigration.  Mrs. Williams will tempt you will chocolate AND a trip around the world on a wheel!

Grades last week:  Unit Test, map quiz, and anticipation guide.  None of these are posted yet.  See me if you were absent.

Friday, May 1

Textbooks are due to me immediately.

Thursday, April 30

Please give big thanks to your very generous parents who have made our year so special.  Anytime we have sounded the SOS, they have responded with paper, paper towels, tissues, and additions to our classroom library.  In life, it will always be the little things that smooth your way and make life so beautiful.

Our Australian centers must be completed.  Unit test May 1.

You are my sunshine!

Monday, April 20

Only more day until your light gets an opportunity to shine on the CRCT!  I am excited that you get this opportunity each year to reward yourself with amazing scores AND indicate how well your teachers have taught specific subjects.  We are in this together.  Breathe.  I am so very proud of all that you have accomplished this year!!  You will always be my stars!

Today, those of you who have permission will receive your pen pals in China.  Please follow the writing response format  of a friendly letter and represent our school and our country well.  No slang or acronyms.  These students are trying to learn proper English not email mania language that we are all guilty of using.

CW:  Complete Australian Center rotations.

HW:  Continue gearing up for our competition with Ms. Williams' class by downloading and reviewing the CRCT study guide on last Friday's blog.
