This is your final opportunity to do them. Your grade will be final.
Parents, if your child's average score for a Skills Tutor lesson is lower than what it shows on Skills Tutor, then there may be blank areas where your child has not completed lessons. Dear Parents, I just checked SKills Tutor and found that there are still students who have not completed the Punctuation Skills (due 3-22) nor the Reading Skills (due 3-29). If your child says he/she completed them and you want to be sure, I recommend that you asked to see the scores. As soon as your child logs in and opens up an assignment, the scores will show. CW: Write your final copy neatly in blue or black ink.
HW: 1. Finish your final copy (see CW). Underline your transition words. CIRCLE your 3 key words for your reasons (one per reason) like on the "pennies" story. Highlight the KEY words only in your counterclaim. (Check to be sure you have an attention grabbing topic sentence and a concluding sentence that restates your claim and summarizes your reasons.)
2. Please neatly staple all of your papers with your final on top, then your rough draft, pre-write, "pennies", and "stop sign" papers underneath (in that order). ("Stop sign" should be on the bottom.) Be ready to turn them in when you walk into class tomorrow. You will not have time in class to do this. Thanks.
3. Please check Pinnacle to see if you are missing anything. If so, you must turn it in tomorrow if you would like (late) credit. This is the end of the first nine weeks.

(By then, you need to have read at least 937 pages in order to make 100.) Also, we plan to give a test over the 8 propaganda techniques once we finish the Infomercials. Review/study your small booklet that you made in class. Make sure you can identify techniques used in an ad. You should be able to explain why you named a certain technique.
P.S. If you did not turned in your (signed) reading log today, you may turn it in for half credit on Monday. After that the zero remains.

If you use technology, be sure to test it days ahead (not the day of your presentation) to make sure that it works at school. It wil be considered late if it doesn't work the day it is due.
