On October 17th, 2011 Hightower Trail Middle School (HTMS) will be welcoming a program called “Rachel’s Challenge” to present in the HTMS theater during the school day and again at 7pm for the community.  This program is designed to promote the principles of kindness, tolerance and compassion as they were embodied by Rachel Scott – the first person killed in the Columbine High School shootings in 1999. Over the last decade “Rachel’s Challenge” has become nationally renowned as one of the most poignant school programs designed to reduce aggression and bullying while educating students around themes of compassion, tolerance and acceptance.

We would like to invite you, our board members, to join the Hightower Trail community in experiencing the atmosphere, unity and inspiration created by "Rachel's Challenge".  Due to a generous grant provided by the HTMS PTSA, all community members are invited to see “Rachel’s Challenge” at 7:00 PM in the HTMS theater on October 17th.  We would be honored by your presence and appreciate any way you can promote this event to others in the community.  "Rachel's Challenge" promises to deliver a message that will deeply move all who witness this program!
