Wednesday, October 28  more equations...homework:  purple workbook pages 100 and 101.  Do 2 through 8 even on page 102

Friday, October 30  Unit 2 Test 2  Adding, mulitplying, dividing polynomials, solving quadratics by greatest common factor, special products, factoring, completing the square.  solving radical equations.  Graphing quadratics:  changing from standard form, vertex form, and intercept form.  Identifying average rates of change, intervals of increase, intervals of decrease. Zeros.

Thursday, October 15  More on completing the square.  Homework:  Purple workbook  page 97  18-25.  Quiz on equations tomorrow:  solving quadratics using the following methods:  finding the greatest common factor, factoring the trinomial, special products and completing the squares.  There is a practice test in the red textbook on page 123  Problems 14-25, 37, 39, 40-42 should be helpful.

Wednesday, October 14  Two step equations, more pythagoras.  Homework:  pythagorean theorem worksheet.

Thursday, October 15  Pythagoras, translating algebraic expressions.  Homework:  red workbook pages 9 and 10.

Friday, October 16  More translating, MATHO, more equations.  Quiz on Wednesday on equations, translating and the Pythagorean theorem.
