This week we are wrapping up our unit on "School".  The Performance Assessment Task (or Oral Presentation) in which you and your partner perform your role play is due Tuesday 11/10.  Remember, you need to have everything memorized!  Make sure you study for your test by reviewing all your Theme 3 Vocab, your notes and handouts on -AR verb conjugations, and notes on definite and indefinite articles.

This week we are wrapping up learning how to tell time and how to tell at what time something occurs. On Thursday, students will begin learning how to conjugate -AR verbs.  So instead of expressing liking or disliking various activities, students will be able to discuss when they do these activities or if the do not do them.

This week students will continue to describe the sequence of their classes, express what classes they like and dislike with reasons for their opinions, and give information about the school supplies they have or need for various classes.  Then on Thursday after the quiz, students will beging learning how to tell time.

We are finishing up Theme 2 by reviewing for the test on Friday.   There is no homework since you should all be studying your flashcards!!

This week we are beginning the last section of Theme 2 (La Familia).  Students are learning to use possessive adjectives (mi/mis, tu/tus, su/sus, nuestro,-a, -os, -as) as well as expressing likes and dislikes.

TAREA: 

Tuesday:  Possessive Adjective Handout

Wednesday: Possessive Adjective Paragraph

Thursday: No HW - but I suggest you make flashcards of all the -ar verbs!  You will need to know the meanings of them

Friday: Study for your quiz

QUIZ ON TUESDAY  10/6: possessive adjectives (study your notes from powepoint), expressing likes and dislikes, and -ar verbs.  This will be another lengthy quiz, so please do not wait till the last minute to study!

Today students took the first quiz of Theme 2, "La Familia."  This was a lengthy quiz.  If you were absent today, the LATEST you can MAKE-UP this quiz is TUESDAY, Sept. 29.  Please come in at 8:15am to Sra. Baumann's class.

Today we finished reviewing for the quiz TOMORROW!!!We cannot put this off any longer.  Study the vocabulary for family members, numbers 1-100, notes on how to express age, and the meanings of all the adjectives,  and also how to use "ser" (soy, eres, es, somos, son).

There will be a help session at 8:15am in my room.
