Please complete the current event we discussed in class today. Follow the guidelines as given in class. Red class, you only have to do the 2nd paragraph.
Due to the changes in the standards for Social Studies in the 6th and 7th grades, the syllabus posted here is a tentative one until our final standards are adopted by the state. We will be providing a revised syllabus (hopefully) next week. Thank you for your patience.
Please complete a map(on computer paper) that shows the route from your house to HTMS. Be sure to include important features, natural or man-made, that would mark your route(buildings, roads, bodies of water, a particular stand of trees, etc.). This map should be drawn from an overhead perspective. Please be very neat and try to incorporate some form of scale to your map (EX: 1 inch = 1/4 mile). Make sure to include names of these places/objects. Don't forget to include the cardinal points(North, South, East, West) on your map correctly. Remember, only show those features that are important to find your way from house to school.
Please bring the lyrics to your song for the History in Music activity (due 5/20).
Bring textbooks tomorrow.
If you missed class today, please select one of the following articles and complete a current event assignment. This will be due Monday.
All students are required to bring materials to work with on their Gandhi activities on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. This assignment, which is due 5/13, is a TEST GRADE!
Progress reports are due (signed) by Friday.
The Gandhi activities (test grade) were passed out today and will be due 5/13.
Students have completed several tests within their CRCT booklet. There are additional unit tests in the booklet that can be used for more practice.
Students also have access to the OAS website that has a practice CRCT test on it. Students have their login and password in their planners. For every 50 questions students complete (and show evidence of its completion) students will receive a 100 for a HW grade. The website is: www.georgiaoas.org
